What is ReportPath?
ReportPath provides an easy, convenient way for a landlord/agent/property manager to obtain a tenant screening report from a prospective tenant. The prospective tenant receives a request, orders and pays for the report, and shares it – and, they receive a copy of the official Experian® report.
Why is ReportPath changing the way the system works?
The new ReportPath system provides a great way for the infrequent user to obtain tenant screening reports. And, it provides benefits that are not available with the legacy system:
- The prospective tenant receives a copy of the report
- There is NO impact on the prospective tenant’s credit score (no ‘hard’ inquiry)
- The parties validate their identity, improving security
- The prospective tenant pays for the report, so their is no cost to the landlord/agent/property manager.
- The new system has an optional on-line rental application, making the whole process fast and easy
What does the report cost?
There is no charge to the landlord/agent/property manager. The prospective tenant pays $34.95 for the tenant screening report (credit/criminal/eviction). If ‘credit only’ is requested, the charge is $24.95. Credit + Eviction is $29.95. There is no charge for using the on-line rental application.
As a current ReportPath user, can I convert to the new system?
Of course! Your existing reports will still be available using the ‘legacy login’, but you can start obtaining reports using the new system.
What if I want to stay on the legacy system?
If you want to continue to use the legacy system after July, 2018, please contact us. We will create a new account for you, and move your existing reports to the new account. There is no charge for the new account, and, as always, no membership fee or monthly fees.
